Thank goodness I booked my return flight to ABQ on a free ticket! I was able to change my flight from Wednesday to today. I fly out of Minneapolis at 6pm and get back into ABQ at 9:20. I miss my hubs and the pup so I'm sooo excited to come home after being gone so long! Maria, Vanessa and I are going to spend the day at the Convention Center watching the awesome Open teams battle it out and then I'll make my way to the light rail and Minneapolis Airport = )
Olive and I are on our way home!

Happy Memorial Day! Well today started out fantastic with one of our best games yet. We won our first challenge game and then went straight into a first place challenge game. We lost the second challenge game which put us into the Silver Tournament bracket. I'll keep the sad information short and sweet...we lost our first Silver tournament game...single elimination...I'll let you do the math = ( We consoled ourselves with burgers and chips at Brits Pub (and possibly a delicious chocolate dessert) and are at least excited to watch some great volleyball tomorrow morning.

This post is sent to you from the LAX Southwest terminal...a very popular place to be this Memorial Day weekend! In my desperate attempt to catch an earlier flight I arrived here 4 hours early which of course means I still sit here until those 4 hours have passed and I am on my way to Minneapolis. And yes, 4 hours is a bit extreme but tackling the 101 and the 405 on the first travel day of Memorial Day weekend is daunting in itself. Southwest was very compliant today...willing to put me on an earlier flight for the small sum of $215. Almost worth it with morning sickness...but I could never pay that much for a flight change!
Denning sent me off with a new book to read, Love the One You're With. So I have a fantastic book to read, emails to check, and occassionally a few orders to process = ) Wish me luck...this will be one long day for me and the raspberry!

Nausea report - today was a bit rough. It was the first time I had to bolt out of Dole and run to my hotel room to sleep away my lunch break because I was super nauseous! Sleep and a little food definitely helped but it never seemed to go away.
I had a hair appt with Erin today...my fabulous hair stylist in Thousand Oaks! I just can't branch out to an ABQ stylist if I still have Erin in my life = ) I was in desperate need of a cut and color but didn't want to do anything that could be dangerous for the raspberry! Erin confirmed what I had read that doing a foil touch up would be safest since it doesn't touch your scalp. She finished it off with a darker rinse so that hopefully when my natural dirty blonde color grows out I can pull it off until December! I will definitely need an emergency visit to Erin once baby has arrived! And she completed the visit with taking off some inches b/c my hair was way too long. Yay for happy healthy hair!
And I finished off the day catching up with Inge, Denning, & Tony! D & T flew in from Boston for the week and luckily our trips overlapped by a day! I of course failed to snap a picture with my Bostonians = ( Guess we will have to make up for that in October! It was a fantastic evening of delicious Inge food, and stealing every detail of D&T's upcoming April wedding = ) Can't wait!

Wednesday, May 20th
Tuesday was pretty rough. I felt nauseous most of the day at work and immediately passed out from 3 - 5:30pm at the hotel. I then managed to motivate myself enough to get out of bed and drive over to Lamppost Pizza (my all time favorite pizza place) to get their delicious Chef Salad. I know...tragic, I went to Lamppost and left without a single slice of pizza = ( Eating some salad finally gave me a little energy, I got in some hang out time with Melissa and then right back to sleep. It was a day of exhaustion!
Today has been a million times better. Very little nausea today except for right when I woke up. I even got in a lunch break jog with my coworker Sham. It may have only been 2 miles but it felt fantastic to finally get outside and get some exercise! This evening we are off to the Sales Meeting dinner at Farfalla in Westlake Promenade = ) Our old stomping grounds! I will finally get a chance to catch up with my East Coast Regional managers and will definitely get in some more practice of excuses why I am no longer drinking. We'll see how that goes! Thank goodness Raspberry and I are having a fantastic Wednesday so far = )

Our other little one
Remi doesn't get enough blog time these days b/c it's all about the raspberry! Apparently today we learned that Remi loves avocados! Remi stole an avocado from Steve and Joyce this morning and hid under their bed with his new prize. He tucked away silently eating 1/4 of the avocado while Steve and Joyce were searching the house for him. I'm getting this story from Travis but apparently they were able to trace bits of avocado to their guest bedroom to discover our pup digging into his stolen treat. Thank goodness I won't be in town to clean up the aftermath of this new Remi escapade!!

Baby Belly - 8 weeks
Sunday, May 17th
One of the residents of Chase Palm Park.
Aly and I strolled the Art Walk, doubled back thru Chase Palm Park, ate a delicious lunch at Jannines Bakery on State Street, and then got in some fantastic Santa Barbara shopping! Aly made a delicious Sundried Tomato pasta dinner and we capped of the visit with a rousing game of Scattergories. Blueberry and I of course wiped the floor with Aly & Tristan's faces (T's words). Off to pack it up and prepare real work clothes for tomorrow.
