Week One, Day Two

Ok Ladies...Week One, Day Two done.  Unfortunately that very last pushup of Set 5 was P-A-T-H-E-T-I-C = )  Time to give the munchkin a much needed bath...lets just say not all of last nights oatmeal ended up in Avery's mouth.  She likes to use organic hair product these days ; )

Okay, that's a bit of an exaggeration, but check out Av's little bruise under her eye = (  She was sitting on her own, just playing with toys and the next thing we know she face plants on a toy!  She is so good at sitting these days that I didn't even notice her toppling over, bad Mommy!  I figured I should try to get a good shot of the damage since I'm sure this is the only bruise she will ever have ; )

While capturing the war wound I ended up catching Av playing with her new purse (and all of its toys) for the first time = )

I blame Sada Goodwin and her fabulous blog...I've decided to take on the One Hundred Pushup Challenge!  These wimpy arms haven't seen a pushup in quite a while so today - Week One, Day One - was quite the adventure = )  Avery loves to watch me do crunches so I have a feeling she'll get a kick out of pushups!  Who's coming with me?! 

Kathy & Donnie Came To Town

Grammy & Grampa stole me today so that we could go play with Kathy & Donnie at Flying Star!  They reported back to Mommy that I was a little angel the entire time = )

Avery Has A New Trick...

And she learned it from the Remster!

Avery now mimics how Remi shakes his toys...she does this crazy new head shake as if she is emphatically saying NO.  She watches Remi shake his head back and forth (much faster and crazier) and must have decided it looks like fun.  She giggles at Remi when he does it and now we laugh at her when she does it = )

I doubt I'll get an opportunity to catch it on video...but at least I have some cute Summer pics from Friday for you!

It is supposed to be a rainy weekend here which is currently putting our pool plans on hold, but it will be a nice break from the heat!

35 Year Anniversary!

Monday we got to celebrate Grammy Joyce and Grampa Steve's 35 Year Wedding Anniversary!  We went out for a delicious dinner at Savoy and brought our own entertainment...Avery = )  Av has now figured out how to blow very messy (and loud) raspberries!  By the time the adults had finished their salads Avery was covered in baby spit from head to toe.  The best was the glistening spit on her beautiful little eye lashes!  I'm afraid we may have encouraged the spitting by our laughing so hopefully we didn't annoy too many other patrons at the restaurant.

And of course by the end of the meal Av found her way to Grammy and Grampa's laps...

Avery's New High Chair!

Somebody finally got a high chair...and she loves it!  Technically Travis go the high chair for his 30th birthday from my parents, but he has graciously allowed Avery to use it = )

Avery has moved on to fruits this past week and I am very worried that she may not actually be my child...she doesn't like fruit?!  I'm not quite sure how that is possible considering the amount of fruit I ate while pregnant, but so far peach and apple have nothing on her love of veggies.  I gave her green beans today to bring back an old favorite and it was hilarious to see how eager she was to get back to the vegetables!

Groovy Uncle Dan & Aunt Staci

Avery had some fabulous visitors last week - Uncle Danny & Aunt Staci!  D&S came into town last Tuesday and were immediately put to work entertaining Avery = )  I cannot thank them enough for helping out all week long!  Who knew Danny could change a diaper with the best of them!  And thank goodness for Staci who is a pro with babies!  Unfortunately I failed to get in a real photo shoot so here is the one lonely picture of their visit.

I can't decide if I should make fun of Danny for boring Avery to sleep or for exhausting her with all the play time...I'll let you come up with your own interpretation = )

I may not have had my camera...but that doesn't stop me from capturing the sleeping beauty during her afternoon nap.  Not the best quality but my cell camera will work just fine!

Avery - 2 Remi - 0

It has finally happened...Avery has discovered how delicious Remi's toys are!  Now that Avery has down the army crawl we're all in trouble - including Remi.  Last night I left Avery on her blanket while I went to move the laundry from the washer to the dryer.  Next thing I know Avery has Remi's favorite red toy in her mouth and Remi is just sitting there watching it happen.  I thought I had until Avery is a teenager before I had to start worrying about washing her mouth out with soap = (

And no, not only did I not have my camera b/c it had been held hostage in Trav's car the last two days - but I also didn't waste a moment getting that toy out of her hands ; )  Not exactly a photo op...however if it happens again I suppose I could have good blackmail for the future!
