Albuquerque Restaurant Week

This week is the first ever ABQ Restaurant Week and Travis and I are definitely taking advantage. Since we had a fabulous in-house babysitter available last night we decided to finally go to Artichoke Cafe to sample their three course menu! It was delicious and a wonderful date night = ) We can't justify hitting up too many of the deals but we are going to take advantage this weekend also while my Dad is in town visiting. Avery is one lucky girl! She got to play all weekend with her Mutti and this coming weekend with her PapaDoc! PS - Artichoke cafe = DELICIOUS!

Just Like Mommy

No one will appreciate this more than Auntie Em (whose little one is due any week now!)...Miss Avery may look alot like her Daddy but I have discovered yet another trait she gets from me! Avery loves to have her hair played with = ) Now if we have a fussy baby I can get her to sleep just by stroking her hair!

2 Month Check-Up

Avery had her 2 Month Dr. Appt this morning! The results are in...we have an incredibly healthy and thriving little girl : ) She now weighs 11 lbs and is 23 3/4 inches long. She also had to get 3 shots and an oral immunization...poor little one! Thank goodness Travis was there for the dirty work! I wanted nothing to do with making my baby cry ; )

Dinner With Friends

We had a delicious dinner last night over at Dan & Eileen's house = ) Avery had tons of fun with her future babysitters!

The Big 2 Month Mark

Yesterday was Avery's big 2 month birthday! That is...I'm assuming those with a birthday on the 29th celebrate on March 1st ; ) This was a big one because last night was Avery's big move to her crib and nursery!! And the results are in...we have the best baby in the world = ) Avery slept 7 hours in her crib, ate a little night time meal at 5am and then went back to sleep until we woke her up for breakfast. I knew this move would be harder on Mommy than baby! She may have slept like an angel in her own room but I couldn't sleep at all ; ) Today's job is to work with the baby monitor system to get the volume just right. I think I had it up a bit too high last night so I could hear every wiggle. Tonight hopefully I'll only hear the important things. Honestly though...I don't think the volume was my main problem...I think I just couldn't sleep b/c I was worried about my little girl sleeping all by herself a whole room away from me, haha!

And on another fabulous side note - little one is a morning person! Thank goodness she takes after her mother ; ) I love waking up to her smiling up at me from her crib, ready to start the day!
