Avery's Big Girl Bed

We are transitioning Avery to a toddler bed a bit earlier than we would have if we didn't have twins on the way = )  Today was test drive #1!  Avery took her first nap in the toddler bed and slept from 2pm - 3:40pm!  We'll be setting up the new nursery in about a week and a half so hopefully that will be a nice cushion for her big move to the big girl bed = )

I think she likes it but this extra freedom makes Mommy a bit nervous, haha!

Catching Up

Seems like we have been going non-stop since we got back from vacation.  At least I snapped a couple pics of the sweet little girl = )

Tomorrow is Daddy's birthday!  Getting excited to celebrate another fabulous year = )

Baby Belly - 24 Weeks

This Baby Belly is definitely growing - could have something to do with the fact that I fed it steak and lobster mashed potatoes this past weekend at Mastro's in Scottsdale...

And followed it up with virgin pina coladas poolside at the Arizona Biltmore...all of the calories, none of the alcohol ; )  Thank goodness for our adult vacation before expanding to a family of 5!

Ashlynn & Kinsey of course joined us on our Arizona adventure but Miss Avery stayed behind in ABQ with her Mutti = )  They had tons of fun here while Travis and I enjoyed 4 glorious days of zero responsibility.  We are happy to be back in our 95 degree heat here in comparison to Phoenix though!

The B-Squad

Its time that the B-Squad finally make a special appearance on the blog = )  These three go EVERYWHERE with Avery.  Baby is definitely the leader of the B-Squad given that the word 'Baby' comes out of her mouth almost as often as 'Mama'.  Also part of this exclusive team is 'Bear' and 'Bunny'.  

We had a bit of a crisis on Sunday...Baby went missing!  We searched this house from top to bottom and could not find Avery's favorite.  Since bedtime was approaching and Baby sleeps with Avery, I made an emergency trip to Target.  Baby was a gift so I had no idea where to try to find her but (insert embarrassing happy dance in the middle of the Target aisle) I found her!

Monday evening we were all playing outside after Travis got home from work and guess who was hiding in the dirt right next to Avery's pinwheel!  The original B-Squad has been reunited.  Original Baby needs a good cleaning so she's going into hiding for a bit...but Backup Baby is currently wrapped up in Av's arms as she sleeps = )  Crisis averted!  Sorry for the deception Avery.

The Twins' Bedding

Our Land Of Nod package arrived yesterday full of baby comforters, sheets, changing pad covers, curtains...EVERYTHING!  I'm in love!  Unfortunately, so is Avery = )  She has been carrying around one of the comforters since they arrived and randomly laying down on the floor with it.  Yes, they are soft and fabulous but I'm pretty sure they are about to get washed and tucked away until the twins need them ; )  I had to let Avery get in one last cuddle...

I have to admit that I'm a S'mores purist but that mainly is due to the fact that amongst my many strange food flaws - I don't like peanut butter in my dessert.  That said...I might actually have to try this b/c Sada makes it look so crazy delicious!

Ok, belly out of the way but now we're too busy smiling at Bear!

So the deal this weekend was if Avery could say Papadoc...then Mutti & Papadoc would take her on a shopping spree at Target for a new summer wardrobe.  This little girl was hurting for some new t-shirts and tank tops *in size 2T, ridiculous*  She successfully got out the word DOC and off we were to Target!  Thanks to Mutti (and her credit card) and the fabulous fashion sense of Aunt Staci and CuzAunt Brindley - Avery made out like a bandit!  We can now go weeks without doing laundry...not that we would ; )

Baby Belly - 22 Weeks

Oh my...this belly just keeps growing!  The twin's eyebrows, eyelids and fingernails are fully formed by now.  Their hearing is also getting sharper which means they should now know all the songs on our Avery CD that we sing and listen to at naptime.

We spent this past weekend in Dallas celebrating Uncle Danny's graduation!  Lots of pictures to follow once I compile from all the cameras = )  In case you need a little sneak peek...

I Got My New Shades On!

Looks like somebody shares her Mommy's sunglasses addiction!!

Work it, work it Avery!

I finally have a new excuse to purchase sunglasses!!  Avery is now sporting this fancy pair...blocks 100% UV, tinted to not distort color, curved to stay in place, fabulous to chew on (already tested) and Mommy loves that they look so sporty!  

Now the only problem is Av gets a bit upset when I make her take them off inside the house ; )

Baby Belly - 21 Weeks

These babies are active and definitely growing!  My belly is visibly increasing in size daily!  Its getting quite comical...every trip to the store I get at least one 'When are you due?' = )  At least I look pregnant and not just like I'm gaining weight...but when my answer is September I have to quickly follow that up with my excuse of twins.  Both heartbeats were easy to find this week at the Dr. Office and all of us are doing quite well!  Next week's belly picture will come to you from Texas!!!  So excited to get these twins out to my home state ; )

I Eat My Pizza Upside Down!

First of all...confession time.  I love Papa John's pizza.  Sorry to all you pizza snobs (Travis)...I can be surrounded by fabulous pizza places and still catch the occasional craving for Papa J's!  Second - Travis does not share this craving.  So today I snuck in a pizza before he got home so that he couldn't protest...very sneaky ; )  This was Avery's first slice of Papa John's cheese pizza and I can't tell from the pics but I think she liked it!

I promise we cut up all food into appropriate bite sizes but pizza Avery will only enjoy by the slice.  And upside down = )  It just adds to her charm!
