Avery, Bri and I spent today in Santa Fe checking out wedding venues!! Bri and Johnson are getting married in October and the Steele ladies just can't wait = ) The venues we toured today were absolutely gorgeous...I have no idea how Bri will choose!

Avery's First Bottle!

I'm not quite sure why we were worried that she might not take a bottle...Avery loved her first bottle with Daddy and downed it in about 3 minutes. We had to snap the pictures fast b/c that breastmilk was gone in no time!





And this is my attempt to show off one of our favorite Avery-isms...she tucks her thumb under her finger. So adorable!


And the little girl is starting to smile and it is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen! Travis and I will try to capture one on camera soon = )

Avery found a way to get in an extra outfit change yesterday thanks to her incredibly dirty diaper after dropping off Melissa at the airport ; )

And I'm Back In The Game!

I had a great 6 week postpartum appointment and have been cleared to finally start working out again and play volleyball! Today was my first attempt back on the treadmill...I'm easing back into exercise so I only did one mile but I'm happy to say it wasn't that bad! I am definitely out of shape but hopefully I can slowly increase my mileage.

And the BIG news of the day...Avery slept 6 hours straight last night!!! I love that little girl = ) It looks like she is working on her smile so hopefully soon she'll be melting hearts with her adorable little grin.

So Excited!

Avery is so excited that Missy gets into town tomorrow for her first Avery visit! I promised Avery that we can pick out her airport pickup outfit today if she behaves = )

Another fantastic night...pretty soon Miss Avery will be sleeping thru the night and we can move her into her real crib in her adorable nursery! She slept a little over 5 hours, ate her late night snack and then slept 2.5 hours more just in time to wake up and eat breakfast with Daddy.

And on a side note - I have my 6 week postpartum appt tomorrow morning! Hopefully I will get the green light to start working out again. Do you think they'll let me start playing volleyball yet? = )

The Hair...

Yes, Avery has fabulous hair and that business cannot be tamed! I love it...especially right after a bath = )

I know I will jinx myself by typing this...but two nights in a row now Avery has slept 5 hours between feedings! The extra sleep is AMAZING! She makes up for it in the morning by eating like crazy ; )

It looks like little one has just woken up from a short nap so we are off to our first Target visit together! Wish us luck! Yesterday we made it out to Daddy's office to meet some of his coworkers, definitely getting this little girl out into the world!

Good Play Time Tonight

We Love Our Weekends!

So far Avery has been perfect at restaurants...ie. she sleeps through the outting! We had a delicious 'Thank You' dinner Friday night at the Ore House with Joyce and Steve. We also followed that up with a late breakfast Saturday at Gold Street Cafe as the grandparents headed out of ABQ back to San Diego. Avery was an angel for both meals = )

Our adorable little one also received a special new onesie for her one month birthday from Auntie Shae and Uncle Mikey.
